There is one in Fort Worth. It's the Unversity of North Texas Health Science Center of Fort Worth. Here's a link.

I would highly recommend UT Southwestern Medical Center. I don't know what programs they have but it's a medical school with an excellent reputation.

UT Southwest is an excellent med school but they do not offer a doctor of osteopathy. The one in Fort Worth has been there for years and also has a terrific reputation for the D.O. program of study.

I can't remember exactly where in Ft. Worth the school is and I haven't driven to Ft. Worth in a while. My last trip over took me about 1.25 hrs to arrive at my destination downtown from McKinney with some moderate traffic. Maybe someone else could offer a better guess from the Plano area.

I bet it would be 1.5-2.0 hours each way. It's on the west side of Ft. Worth. Mapping service says it's 66 miles from McKinney.

There are LOTS of good places to live in Fort Worth. Honestly, the neighborhood right around UNTHSC is one of Fort Worth's most popular neighborhoods. There's no need to build a new house to get what you want; Fort Worth has a lot of nice existing homes!
