Central market although owned by HEB is not HEB. It doesnt feel the same nor offer the same products as HEB. PLus it doesnt have those yellow coupon deals like Heb has

Is there any grocery store in this city that is close to HEB?

I don't think there is. Albertsons, Kroger, and Tom Thumb are the main chains here. Now what I would like is something comparable to Wegman's.

I don't think so. I do enjoy Central Market because they carry HEB brands of your usual groceries.

HEB might be the only thing that keeps me in Texas for the long run! Lol. Seriously though, HEB is awesome and nothing I've seen compares

It seems like just about every local who's lived in an HEB market in the past presses hard for HEB to set up shop in town. That's pretty strong word of mouth. Unfortunately, according to the articles below, it looks like they're focused on making Central Market their sole representative in the Dallas market.

I'm curious why HEB's leadership is shying away from opening stores here? Are they concerned that HEB would not be able to compete in Dallas the way Central Market can, because of Dallas' unique demographic and cultural characteristics? As a consumer who values choice I'd probably be more concerned about the opposite occurring -- there'd actually be a decent chance they'd either put other grocers out of business or force them to drastically reduce their presence here.

The grocery store market in DFW is really competitive. HEB should have brought their grocery stores to DFW years earlier. I currently shop for everyday items at Tom Thumb and for a few things such as homemade tortillas at Kroger. I would switch to HEB in a heartbeat though if there was one here.

If I'm coming home through Burleson, I try to bring a cooler and make a stop at HEB. I sure wish they would expand north to the rest of DFW!

There aren't any storesponses in Dallas similar to HEB.
Didn't know how much I missed until we moved out of San Antonio, now we are out of Texas .
It may seem odd to some, but when I go back to S.A for visits, it always includes a shopping day at HEB!!!!
I miss their coffee, tortillas, special unique products...

While Tom Thumb has its own unique offers, nothing competes with HEB
