We're thinking about visiting Dallas over the Thanksgiving weekend and would like suggestions on fun things to do with 3 year olds. Given the time of the year something Holiday themed would be great, in addition to available outdoor activities if weather permits. We're foodies too so any recommendations on family friendly restaurants would be welcome too. Thanks in advance.

The food trucks at Klyde Warren are great. Everybody gets what they want. The Art Museum has a great children's area on the 1st floor. My grandkids could easily spend an hour in there and the museum is free. The underground parking is not free but very convenient to Klyde Warren (across the street).

The Gaylord has many indoor holiday options that are great for young kids.

The Trains at NorthPark opens November 17th.

Definitely the Children’s Garden at the Arboretum (there’s a specific toddler section to explore that’s fun!)

The Gaylord ins't a bad place to go in general, but it's a completely generic indoor experience. Can be had in most large cities in the US with a similar facility. I second the Arboretum kids area and the kids area at the DMA, along w/ Klyde Warren (weather permitting).

The Gaylord's ICE display/show is fun for kids, but the 3 year olds are probably a little too young for it.
