Would you prefer something in uptown?

I called the Marquis on Texas St. and they weren't that friendly. First she quoted me $965/ month then said she could get me in there for mid $800s. She also said there wasn't much within walking distance...

I'm just so confused!!

Would someone just tell me where to live? (:

The most ideal place would be a Power Property on Gaston near Lakewood Shopping Center - plenty to walk to in terms of restaurants and a few shops.

What if we just stayed at the house? How scary are the bills going to be? At first it just seemed like too much house for just us two and that living there would make us think of Lucy, but now after a few days have passed and apartment searching is such a nightmare, I can imagine living there again and think it would make me happy to think of her while living there. We weren't worried about anything though at first b/c it was for her - but now it's just us two, are the bills going to make our $1600 rent well over $2000 a month? I know it depends on how cold we like it, and I like it pretty cold.

And then there's no ammenities that would be at an apartment - I mean, what are we going to do but sit around the house? I just think for two people an apartment might meet our lifestyle better now - but I just don't know where to live and I am going to feel awful about telling the homeowner we're backing out on him.

Any suggestions? Thanks for helping Mark and me - we're kind of stuck feeling.

Power Properties on Gaston look pretty nice. Do you have a favorite? I'm looking at the website, but I think I might just have to come down again to see everything in person.

They are all nice - they have a good reputation. Maybe call to see what they'll have coming avail when you need to move. They even have small 4 plexes on side streets off Gaston.

I don't live over there but here is an article in the DMN today that mentions the Ambrose as well as the general area and what all is going on over there.
