Hi,

Can anyone help me with Driving license rules for the DFW area pertaining to vision. My brother is legally blind in his left eye but has peripheral vision. His right eye has 20/20 vision with no issues or correction. Will he be able to get an unrestricted license in Texas or there will be a daytime only driving restriction?

He has no accidents on his driving record in his entire driving history. He has been legally blind for about 10 years now and drives a lot.

So he's not "legally blind"; he's "blind in one eye". Big big difference. I can't imagine this would be a problem for a drivers license. Lots of people have lost an eye.
