I mean that woman had to be walking through the protest at the time of police in full on battle. First, she shouldn't be outside. She should have used alternate route if it was really that necessary. But who am I to judge, God knows best.
What has uptown/downtown turned into, when you have to worry about cops shooting you on your way back from the grocery stores? It's a sad state of affairs that we have to fear Dallas PD shooting us, more than muggers.

Rubber bullets can be lethal in a direct hit. The fact that the woman was struck in the head and was not put into a coma indicates the Dallas police probably fired as trained--at the ground--and the woman was struck by a ricochet (rubber does bounce) of a whole bullet or even just a fragment. It could have even been a multiple-bounce ricochet.

I don't see any indication of exactly how far she was away from the incident. It could have been a hundred yards or more. She certainly thought she was sufficiently distant.

Stop enabling victim mentality in the youth by encouraging and bringing slavery back. It's time to move forward. I think most of these people out there feel entitled and have nothing better to do than cry about their problems. I've been a victim a few times but never complained once but not every cop is the same. Stop painting all law enforcement with the same brush.

Were you just as firmly convinced that the lockdown ordered by the same government was just as justified and should have been obeyed just as studiously?

I'm not against protesting as long as its done peacefully. Riots have become lawless and order needs to be brought back. We had barely got back on track from Covid that we need more chaos. We need to bring people's livelihood back and open up shops instead of looting and burning them down. I have kids to raise in this very same society. I want to teach them discipline, morals and values and not for them to resort to violence if they don't get what they want. Yes, racism does exist and black people aren't the only ones. MLK wouldn't want that, if that is your role model. Justice has been served as all those cops got sentences. Live and let live.

Unfortunately you are not making headlines with this and no politician or used to be gets a moment of limelight for commenting on it.

She was shot during the day, before curfew. The picture doesn't show a hint of darkness. Do the store employees need to be shot, when they leave their shift?
