Hello everyone, my name is Nichole, I'm 22 years old currently living in NYC but am extremely considering relocating to Texas, I have Dallas and Houston in mind , however have never been , which is where I need help from you guys! I am in the Skin Care field, and was wondering if anybody had any suggestions as to nice/affordable neighborhoods that I should look into as I realize both Dallas and Houston are pretty decent sizes. I appreciate any help / information / advice you guys can offer me.

Are you looking to go to work at a spa? Being single and moving to the Dallas area and in your field............ YOU HIT THE JACKPOT! There are some GREAT spas all over the Dallas Metroplex. However, taking your age into consideration and the fact you might want to live close to where you can work at a nice spa/salon and where you play I'd suggest these areas:
Uptown
Victory Plaza/Park
McKinney Ave

There are some great spas/salons in this area as well as tons of things to do for people your age and you could do it easily by walking or hoping on the trolley.

Get your hands on a copy of D Magazine. Here you can find out where all the "trendy" hot spots are, the society of Dallas, salons & spas, new developments, etc.

When asking questions about a location, give as much detail as you can, so we can zero in on the info you need. If house hunting, what is your price level or rental amount. How many BR's, Baths, square feet, lot size, etc, do you need? Pets? SFH, TH, Condo, mobile home? In-town, rural, college town, military town, mountains? Schools for children? Gated community, golf course community, active senior community? Do you need to stable a horse? Is there an RV or boat trailer to consider? The more you tell us, the sooner our regular posters can reply with specificity. Same for any other criteria you have. Please avoid open-ended requests like "I'm moving to your city, tell me EVERYTHING I need to know."
This way folks can begin to help you out right away instead of asking all of the inevitable questions first.
