I just got off of the phone with a friend in East Dallas who's basically trapped in his house right now as his neighborhood is flooded. Looks like there's a lot of heavy rain moving through the state this week. Y'all stay safe up there!

Dallas needed the rain in a bad way, but wish a whole summer's worth didn't come in one day.

News gave plenty of notice and did say there will be flooding. People will continue to drive through waters even though it doesnt appear deep with their compact cars.

Right, the idiot box TV weather people have been talking about almost book of Genesis level rainfall for a couple of days.

I do wonder why Dallas PD or maybe Dallas FD either one does not block the lowest parts of the Canyon area along I-30 as those spots are known to flood.

It's the Great Plains. Sometimes it rains a lot. Don't buy a house in a low lying area; don't drive through floodwaters of unknown depth.

Basically, don't be an idiot.
