I stumbled across this British doc on haves/have nots of Dallas. All things considered, I thought they did a decent job of trying to cover a broad cross section of the metroplex, from the blue bloods of Highland Park, to the new money in Collin County and the depressing poverty in South Dallas (I’d never heard of Tent City till now, I’d seen tents down by Medical City but that was it). Curious to know what other Dallasites made of it.

I’m not a Dallasite but did you know that documentary was first published in 2016? Tent City apparently no longer exists, and many of the comments made were in error (like Mark Cuban’s house was really the Dallas Country Club, and the Caruth’s ranch was not 50 miles North of Dallas).

I don’t know if this documentary accurately portrays current-day Dallas. To me that is the 80’s image of Dallas but I couldn’t say if the culture has changed since then. It’s embarrassing for rich people to be so “Beverly Hillbilly.”

I didn't watch very much of it but the first 10 minutes or so it was super obvious that it's going to be excessively rich/wasteful ($50k is nothing in charity giving) type BS while juxtaposed with the blight in southern Dallas.

It's a social justice propaganda piece, which is fine, but not my cup of tea.

Made to about the 2:00 mark or so where they showed “Mark Cuban’s house”. LOL.

I thought Mark Cuban had moved to Southfork. Pretty sure I saw him driving JRs old Lincoln, except now it had bull horns on it.

I watched all of it. It is several years old. Mark Cuban lives in Preston Hollow. Southfork Ranch in Parker is owned by a local real estate developer, Merhdad Moayedi, I believe. Mr. Moayedi does not live on the property.

No, it turns out that was part of the season where Bobby was only dreaming. You're thinking of Mark Cuban driving the Connie when JFK got it in Dealey Plaza.
