Question for those who are or have applied to Hockaday.

I am starting the application for pre-K at Hockaday. It asks that you limit answers to 150 words or fewer. Is this new? I am wondering how exact this number is (i.e. if your answer is 160 words are you disqualified?).
There is no word count or limit in the application itself. Do people go over on some questions and then go shorter on others? I have no issues getting to the word count for all of the questions except one and just wondering how critical that may be.

Any insight is much appreciated.

Thanks!

Sounds new to me, but my experience is several years old.

As for the rest of your questions. Does it matter? I can't imagine a scenario where not following direct instructions during a competitive admissions process is advisable.

Thanks for your fast reply! I've read many of your previous posts and appreciate your insights.

Just confirmed it is new this year and the word limit is not exact (no one is counting the actual number of words and there is no cut-off in the application). That said, it needs to be as close to 150 as possible. Net - keep it short and sweet!
