Both if you can get it. Great for Christmas lights or uplighting a tree in your yard in the front. In the back makes lighting a pergola or garden feature away from your house easier.

Interesting. Would this be 12 or 24 volt power or 120 VAC?

Either way I'd lobby for both as well.

I'm a big fan of running 120 VAC in the eaves with 2, 4, or even 5 or 6 outlet sets and a master timer for Christmas lights and whatnot.

I have never once thought I had too many outside outlets or hose bibs.

If you must make a choice put the switch by the front door behind where it opens and opposite of the Porch / Entry switches - Make it separate. They could also put daylight sensors up there.

Put your outlets on the lower 1st floor soffit unless you think you'll have Christmas lights on a 2nd story then do 1 up and 1 down. One on the front right and front left of the house. See what price they will charge to add on the back yard also.

Another thing you cannot have too much of is outside flood lights while they are doing the wiring.

While you're building get them to add a Ceiling fan to the Master Bath. Hottest room in the house and helps dry it out against mold. Your wife will thank me later.
