It is definitely possible, although it is a long shot. The latest I know of personally at GH was July - the family that dropped out were our friends (and the new admit became a close friend), which is pretty much the only way anyone knew there was a late admit. People don't tend to publicly discuss prior waitlist status, so outside of admissions employees, the data is relatively unknown. That said, if someone pays their deposit, they have to pay tuition in full (or sign a binding contract for monthly payments) by June 1st. I don't know exactly how it works because we've never paid tuition insurance, but I would think only people that do would consider dropping out after 6/1 because otherwise they are out a bunch of cash.

With only a glimmer of hope in movement in the wait pool, we’d like some more insight on Parish.

Some things we have noticed so far:
- It seems to have not as good of a reputation in comparison to some of the other schools in the area. A new Head of School is about to start this year, and he’s coming from Kinkaid in Houston (which is an excellent school), so maybe things will change?
- A lot of the parents we met at admission events live in Plano. We live in the heart of the private school corridor, and are surrounded by families that go to the schools closer in. Obviously private schools could have students that live anywhere in DFW, but are most of the children at Parish from Plano? Nothing wrong with Plano, but I will be the one driving my kids around and I’d rather not drive up there all the time.
- We feel conflicted about the lower school campus being separate. Especially because 3rd and 4th grade, which are still a part of lower school are on the upper school campus. Seems like an afterthought, but friends that are alum of ESD said the old lower school campus felt cozy and like it’s own safe little world to them, so maybe we should look at it through that lens?
- I know the upper school building was designed by I.M. Pei, but the fact that it used to be an office building makes it feel strange to us. Especially the chapel that clearly was an old conference space. We are practicing Episcopalians, so this is an important factor to us.

All that being said, we’d love to hear more about Parish. It was a hard school/ community to read, even after attending all of their admission events.
We are in Coppell area and wil be sending our daughter to Parish this year. We also found a couple of other parents who live nearby and sending their kids to Parish.

Re: Parish thoughts....we have been parents there for 5 years now with 2 kids there. When we started there we were also conflicted between the various schools but it has been the best decision for our family and kids. The new HoS is coming from a fantastic school in Houston and should continue to help Parish grow in the same trajectory that Dave Monaco set the course for. As a younger school it will take time for it to be able to have the same reputation as a GH but GH was in the same boat not too long ago. We like the 2 campuses, the younger kids have their whole lives to be in big campuses, its nice for them to spend a few years in the coziness of a dedicated lower school campus. Admittedly the lower school campus needs updating but the new playground is fantastic. The Upper school campus is great, the new performing art center has everything you could want. Bottom line is that Dallas has great private schools, all these schools are fantastic, you just have to decide on the best fit for your family and your child. For us it was Parish, good luck with your decision.

What is the typical time frame after the acceptance/decline deadline date do school admission committees meet and contact the waiting pool?

Default Home equity

So why then do so many prestigeous universities ignore home equity?

Are they just stupid? or trying to be inequitable? Because in all of your comments, the conclusion that home equity must be taken out at 6% per year is as obvious as the sun rising in the east.

Reading comprehension is apparently not your friend. I said it was an opinion, and an unpopular one at that. Not a statement of fact or written law.
