Yes the Boys (Dogs) kept their promise and allowed us in to sleep on nice warm beds, couches, etc. So far the carpet has stayed clean.

Wow! So much sleet the ground looks like it is covered in snow. Very cool.

Also since it's sleet and not a sheet of ice it's not difficult to drive on. Double yay.

Thunder sleet rumbles across North Texas?
Did you hear it?

Listen to that very rare occurrence:
https://news4sanantonio.com/news/loc...ss-north-texas

The rare phenomenon, some say even rarer than thunder snow, happened Tuesday morning in Fort Worth. The occurrence of thunder during winter weather events usually coincides with the strength of the storm.

True, and, as my kids learned today, it's great for sledding/tobogganing or using whatever you have to slide downhill fast.

My son was bummed to learn that snow is 90% air, and if all this precipitation had been snow there'd be two or three feet of snow on the ground.

Wow! That’s crazy! I know we got a lot of precip but I didn’t think it would translate to that much snow.

Seems to be pretty gnarly on the roads in many parts of DFW. Trucks pulling semis up iced out inclines, many roads iced up, etc.
