What is a typical commute in minutes for an average Dallas driver to either kids school or work etc?

That’s like asking “how long is a piece of string?” Everyone is different.

Dallas is very spread out plus a lot of people who live in Dallas commute to jobs outside of Dallas. How are you supposed to generalize?

They do averages for these sorts of things. DFW clocks in at 30 min.

A quick lookup at the Census data from census.gov will show the average commute of workers in any city. For the city of Dallas itself, it's 26.9 minutes. Other cities will vary.

You are kidding? Take a trip to DFW and drive during rush hour and during your anticipated commute times in your potential area.
