Hello all - first time posting here. Our child was accepted at both Montessori Children’s House and School and Lumin Lindsley Park for primary. They will be 3 when school starts in the fall. I’m wondering - for those of you with experience at these schools, could you tell me about those experiences (good and bad)? We don’t know much about them other than what we’ve seen at our tours and are having trouble deciding which to choose.

MCHS hands down! My child graduated from MCHS 9 years ago and our family's closest friends are still from MCHS. The sense of community is exactly what we were looking for. We even kept our daughter there for a primer year because she was doing so well and we couldn't bear to leave! (She came in at 2 /12 which was early.) Your child will receive an excellent education that teaches them to love learning itself. The sense of daily discovery my child came home and told us about was exciting. This is a true learning environment with a very specific prepared classroom for guided but self-directed learning in preparation for reading and math success as well as daily life activities. Kids learn in a real world environment about actions and consequence. If a child drops a glass on the floor and it breaks, there is no hue and cry it happened, they learn to clean it up themselves safely and get another glass and move on in their day. If you received an invitation to go to MCHS you should grab it asap and get ready for the next best 3-4 years of your and your child's life!
