of course...we don't have a full-fledged high school yet...

I guess I should temper my joy...

congrats to my former district--HEB--for raising the bar with Trinity and Bell HS
fair amount of ESL and low-income students--lots of turnover with students moving from apt to apt especially in lower grades
they are doing a great job--especially with their IB program

congrats to Keller HS as well... they are really trying to get up to exemplary, maybe with the new Principal that will happen.

They don't the recognotion they deserve 1/2 the time, the district as whole went up.

I am very surprised that Keller HS beat out the much touted Grapevine/Colleyville HS. The GVCV ISD would have really fallen if not for thier Elementary schools.
Keller is a much BIGGER ISD than most in the area so I think they are doing a pretty good job.

Very interesting to me that Birdville ISD did not rise to Recognized as a district--
none of its hs earned Recognized vs HEB that has 2
but just a sign that BISD is not keeping up with the problems that growth has brought into the district
their elementary schools in better areas do well

and Keller had only 1 Recognized HS when they have 3 total for district--of course one of them is fairly new--and they have been shifting attendance zones which can affect the TAKS scores

It's VERY tough for high schools to get Recognized or Exemplary.

Sorry, jekutz, I missed Coppell.

HEB ISD is pretty impressive this year. Oh, and Gunter ISD, all of their schools were Exemplary. Carroll ISD has all exemplary except for their one elementary that has ...um, integrity issues.

Wow! Just wow is all I have to say.
