you need to find the place your husband will be working at--is it possible they will have in more than once clinic?
driving is expensive and time-cosuming
you will need a toll tag and patience
finding a 4 bedroom house (there aren't any apartments that big) will be difficult--better schools usually have scarcity of rental properties--
decided on work location
decide on drive time factor--some areas are easier/worse to commute to/from
then check out the specific neighborhoods and schools
I will email you an MLS site that has good school info and link to map for satellite/street views...

Were the houses that you found large enough? Out of those three cities, I would say that Frisco is probably the best for families as it is VERY family-oriented and has good schools. There are a lot of families there and when you go to Stonebriar mall in Frisco, all you see is families with kids. But don't get me wrong, Carrollton and Little Elm are nice too. They both have a lot of nice houses, good schools, family-oriented. Little Elm would be a harder and longer commute into Dallas than Frisco and Carrollton. Hope this helps! If you need anymore info, feel free to ask me and I will gladly help you

I'd think it is very difficult to determine which suburb is more "family oriented". Pretty much any suburban neighborhood with single family houses is going to have families living in them. Typically, singles live in places like downtown Dallas or Uptown... and move to suburbs when they marry and begin to have children.

Also, places such as Frisco aren't small neighborhoods with a uniform character... they are large cities. Frisco has about 100,000 people, and actually has many different kinds of neighborhoods and facilities... it's not possible to generalize it.

Good schools? There is a rough correlation between the perceived quality of the school and the price of the house. Correlation is not causation, of course, the richer you are, the better your children tend to do in school.
