I just purchased a brand new home in wylie and would like a recommendation on a low rate internet provider($20 or so).I hear vonage has good prices on there phone service($25) so that's probably my pick.
Verizon on the other hand, they want $50 for phone and $50 for fios internet totaling $100 per month compared to $45 using others.

So why the hell would anyone pick verizon right?

Let me know what you guys think about this thread and suggestions that you may have for me thanks.

I have a Verizon package (Telephone, HD Television & 15Up/2Dn High-Speed Internet). I love it and the service is great. I think you'll find that if you will talk with someone at Verizon they will offer you a better rate than what you'll find just looking at their promo information or website. Comparing my current services with Verizon to Time Warner/Road Runner it is about the same price but higher Interent speeds and better service.

Had Verizon phone (regular) and Comcast TV and Internet when I moved to Murphy 3 years ago. When Comcast became Time-Warner the quality dropped like a rock and service matched. So we switched all our service to the Verizon FIOS package and have been quite happy.
