Planning to go to lake ray hubbard on my anniversary and planning to take a sail on scotts sail boat after 9pm and would like to find a nice fancy restauraunt in that area.The blue canyon kitchen was the closest but don't like there menu.Any suggest another nice restauraunt in the area?Picnic instead maybe? If anyone has other suggestions for ray lake hubbard for our anniversary please let me know.Thanks.

The Texas Queen is permanently docked, I believe. No more tours - the guy who owns the major marinas on the lake bought it a couple of years ago and parked it.

Try Ava in Rockwall (
http://restaurantava.com/ ). They are fairly new, and the food and drinks are WONDERFUL!!! Their menu is always changing, and they get many of their ingredients from local farms.
The food is somewhat expensive, and deffinately falls into the "special occassion" category for my budget, but the atmosphere is not at all stuffy. There were people there in jeans or sundresses, and nobody looked out of place.
No lake views, but the quality of food and service more than make up for that.

I was also going to recommend Ava's as well as another "adult special occassion" place that is in downtown Rockwall. Can not think of the name but it is 2 words and just a block from the square on Olive. Then head to The Harbor to Agave for drinks, music and dancing. Agave is a hot spot on Saturday night and packed. The shops at The Harbor stay open till 10 and I love Zues
and hubby likes the cigar shop.

I think you are referring to Bin 303. Haven't tried it yet but heard it is pretty good.

Yes, that is it. VERY GOOD! Between Bin 303 and Ava's there is some great dining choices in Rockwall. Culpepper's is of course a main staple if one wants a nice steak dinner or the Oar House for fine Italian.
