We are looking for a security company to monitor our existing security system. We live in Dallas, but Collin County. Any recommendations?

Smith Thompson. No contract and only $16.95/mo.

I'll contact Smith Thompson. Talked to Brinks, they wanted $29.99 per month with 3 year contract or $36.99 a month for one year contract. I said, "No thanks!".

I recommend a 12-gauge and a Rottweiler over a monitored security system.

I have the 12 gauge but no rottweiler. I do have two dogs. One barks the other one will lick you to death.

Brinks and ADT are the best around this area.

Why would you skimp on monitored service? $13 a month isn't much money.

If you don't want to pay for monitoring, just use the existing system.

I wasn't interested in a 3 year contract. Seems excessively long especially when the system is already in place.

We have ADT and they are very quick to respond any time the alarm has gone off - never been a break-in; just an in-house human error, but extremely reassuring to know they are always on top of it.

My dad has used ADT for years and years and always been very happy with them.

ADT is generally more expensive and will sock it to you with charges any time that you want them to come out.
We were with ADT for 8 years. We've now switched over to Guardian Alarms. Very low monthly bill and no long term contract. They have answered all our calls promptly and come out quickly to fix any issues.
