I am looking for space for a Computer Camp in Dallas. I am having a little trouble due to the fact that we will require a short-term lease if leasing an office space, and are considered an extended event for typical event facilities that rent for meetings, weddings, and other events. Any suggestions of where I can find a space? We need space for 30-50 students for a period of 2 months. Thanks!

I know that Summit Ballrooms in Plano has smaller rooms for meetings besides their big ballrooms. The Special Events Center in Garland on 190 (part of the Garland ISD) has several smaller rooms as well. You can always call the local school districts and see about renting a room but they can get rather pricey.

You might try some of the lease space around that has been vacant for a little while. There's a vacant America's Country Store (2 buildings) in Murphy and it's for lease/sale. but in this economy I don't know that it's going to move quickly. Perhaps the landlord of a situation like that would rather have some income than none.
