Anyone ever been to a doctor for a bad snoring problem?

You likely have obstructive sleep apnea. Your family doctor can refer you to a sleep specialist. The first step is usually to wear an oximetry thing on your finger all night, at home. Then they read it and decide if you need more testing.

You then go to a sleep center where they wire you up like a lab rat, leading to a computer, put you on a VERY comfortable bed, and watch you sleep. If it's realy bad, they will waker you up and give you oxygen for the rest of the night.

If you have OSA, you get fitted for a CPAP machine. There are at least 30 types of mask, so you can get one that you like. Medicare covers it as do most insurances.

I have OSA and I know a lot about it. Even young infants can have it.

cool. I just thought I had to go to a special doctor. I actually have health insurance but have never been to a doctor in the past 2.5 years I've lived here. Anyone recomend one in Plano?
