My weekend is loaded and whatever I miss that is open on a regular basis, I can just drive over from Fort Worth to check out. Odd that I posed this same question on the Fort Worth thread and got absolutely no response. One last question, is there any area close to downtown that I should avoid? I never think to ask this until I am alread in the bad part of town. Thanks again for all the help!

When you go to visit fair park, just stay close to fair park. The area surrounding gets a little rough...

I know you said your schedule if full, BUT - no one mentioned White Rock Lake. If you have time to visit Swiss Avenue, you'll be in the neighborhood and, what the heck, you'll be glad you took the time.
I highly recommend late afternoon when the sailboats are out. With all the touring of Dallas, you'll need some recharge time, for the next phase of your trip! There's nothing like sitting on the banks of the lake and watching the sailboats. The Yacht Club does hold races in the spring, but it looks like they're in April and September, so I guess you'll have to come back!
You haven't said, but I'm assuming you're traveling by yourself. In that case, the submarine races won't hold any attraction,
but it is a pretty drive around the lake. You can park and do the walking trail around it, also.
(Local joke - Teenagers tell their parents, "We're going to the submarine races" to let them know they're going to White Rock!)

If you want to do a bike ride around the lake, Richardson Bike Mart has a location just a couple of blocks up the road from the Arboretum. You could rent a bike, and do a lap around the lake to take in the sights. You'll see much more than you would while trying to drive and avoid all the bicycles on the road

Very cool Triumph! I love to cycle and Denver closes most of the roads in our city parks to automobile traffic. Tons of cyclist, runners and walkers take advantage of it and it makes it safer and more enjoyable for all. Is this the same with this park?
