Hello, We are moving to Rockwall this April. I was wondering if anyone knew how Rockwall schools compare to California schools. I have heard all good things about Texas schools, but wasn't sure? Thank you

Dunno about schools in CA but in Rockwall they are really good compared to other districts in the metroplex.

All depends on what CA school. It's hit and miss. One place it can be the bet in the state, go 5 miles in the other direction, the worst.
TX elementary schools are better (thanks to conservative roots), CA high schools (in the right area) are superior.

I lived in Southern Cali for about twenty years after moving from West Tx in the 80's, I have a daughter that was 11 when we moved back out here in 2005. The schooling in California verses here are completely different. Some things my daughter learned in California in 5th grade and when she was in 7th grade they were covering it here. However the school enviroment supersedes everything in California. I am only speaking of middle and high school experiance we have had since 2005. My daughter is in High School now in Rowlett and she is doing well.
