I don't think you will have trouble at Fair Park -- unless you wander out of the park south a mile or so...

Fair Park is a National Historic Landmark and the largest collection of Art Deco exposition halls extant in the world.

If you get the chance try to make it to Fort Worth. Theres alot more history there dating back 150 years of the old west . If you want recent history , yes you can go to the old book depository where a wisconsite killed jfk 40 years ago. Dallas like most cities will have your basic museum, art gallery ect.... Go to Fort Worth for real history if you get the time and check out Sundance Square as there is nothing like it in Dallas (plus its safe). Good Luck and have fun . MMake sure to visit southfork as that will at least give some fun in the dallas area.

No. It is closer to Old City Park than Fair Park.
