It could be worse. We could live WITHOUT A/C.

Not sure if we could - our tolerances have weakened with the advancement of technology.

Tarzan must have been a wimp then.

Let's see what 'normal' people continue to do during this heat wave...

Football practice (all sorts of outdoor children's sports practice)
Re-roofing
Landscaping
Mowing / trimming
Irrigation installation / repair
Concrete work
Street & highway maintenance
Playing golf
Jogging
Bicycling
Etc.
Etc.
Etc.
So on, and so forth...

If you are old, out-of-shape, fat, or red-headed then just stay inside and complain. Otherwise go about your business, have fun and get a nice tan. Wear light colored and lose fitting clothing, stay hydrated, and if possible stay out of the direct sun.

Or if you just like to b(tch and complain all the time, then no doubt you'll look for something else to whine about after the heat wave passes.

highcotton ... With all due respect, I was just wondering if your Welcome To Texas or bottle cap photos were complaints. I'm sure if I or BigDGeek posted such photos, we'd be pegged as B(TCHERS!!

I could survive without A/C if that's the way it happened to be, but I wouldn't like it. It would definitely not be pleasant.
