I need names of reliable moving companies that will move us from So California to Northern Dallas. Who did you use and if you could give me an idea on how much you paid for what size of a house.

Two very reliable companies that I can recommend are:

Armstrong Relocation (United Agent)

www.armstrongrelocation.com

They do a lot of EVERYTHING from residential to corporate moves. I have had two friends that used them one for out of state and the other for international. Both friends had great things to say.
They also have a good rating from the BBB.
BBB Review of Armstrong Relocation in Carrollton, TX

Daryl Flood (Mayflower Agent)

I used them when I moved from Fort Worth to Frisco. Back then (2006) they were an Allied Agent. My move was not inexpensive either. My home was around 2800 sqft and it was around 6k. Now that included them packing up my home, picking up everything, storing until new home was finished and then delievery and unloading of household goods.
I was very pleased with the service I had and nothing was broken (thank goodness).
Here is their website:
Dallas Movers, Houston Movers, Daryl Flood Texas Moving Company, Austin TX

Here is info from Dallas BBB
BBB Review of Daryl Flood Inc. Mobility Solutions in Coppell, TX

Concerning the movers named Armstrong Relocation - I would not recommend them. Moderator cut: See Comment

We used Daryl Flood on our move from Anna to Sherman. A bit pricey, but the service was superb.
We chose them because of their rating on online sites. Also BBB.
