PLS. TELL THE COST OF LIVING, home prices ,taxes in the dallas area , we are thinking of moving, property taxes, does it get cold in dallas

The cost of living depends on where you are coming from. If you are coming from So. California, NYC, San Francisco then you will think you have hit the jackpot. You can still get a decent home in a safe neighborhood for about 150,000.00. The winters are mild....but the summer is dreadful. Very hot and very dry.

You'll probably want to visit here in July-August and see what you think.

That's when I looked around at first and it helps to see the area at its worse, then watch it gradually get much nicer throughout the year. If you came in say Oct-Nov, it would be a bit misleading. Summers are brutal here, but tolerable nonetheless.

It's almost June now and the weather seems to have been nice for as long as I can remember.

From NYC things mainly realestate is going to seem MUCH MUCH Cheaper! The weather is awesome here! I haven't lived here yet in the summer but for me, the hotter the better.. I hope it never goes below 100 and I'll be happy
