Where can you go in Richardson for a good old-fashioned coffee shop-style breakfast?

There is an abundance of Dennys and IHOP's around, though I'm not sure if thats what you are looking for. Waffle Hosue is your typical old fashion diner, the place always look like its stuck in 1965. It's a bit of a drive but over in Carrolton there was a place called Bics on Midway and Keller Springs. It's a little independent coffee shop. They serve all kinds of breakfast food, its pretty old fashion too, its noting like a Starbucks.

John's Cafe opened up somewhere up there after they were forced out of Lower Greenville when their building was torn down (for a bank! arrgg) - I know they found another location on Greenville (old Nick's Cafe) but are they keeping the other location?

Dang, Richardson used to have Taffy's which was great, but it burned. There also used to be the Golden Eagle at Belt Line and Central but it changed into another restaurant, but I don't know what kind.

There's a place at Coit and Campbell - southeast corner. Nikki's, I think.

Hubbards Cuppard in downtown Garland on Main St. Open for breakfast and lunch 7 days a week. Been an icon for years. They have one in Rowlett now on Hwy 66 and one out in East Texas.

If you are ever in these two areas:

Lewisville
has a place on 3040... near the old TI plant at 121 and 3040 and not far from Vista Ridge Mall. I can't remember the name. Yummy... huge pancakes, bread to die for...yummy!

Also in Carrollton there is a place located on Frankford and Old Denton. Mom's. Really good and very reasonably priced.

Bagelsteins is on coit and arapaho (?). Is Golden Eagle still there on 75? If so, you must go there for the bluecollar 1972 chainsmoking experience at least once.
