I'm looking to buy my first house, and found something promising in Carrollton's Trafalgar Square neighborhood. That's by Marsh Lane and Arapaho approximately near the border with Addison.

I really like the house, but I'm curious what people think of that area in general in terms of safety, walkability etc. I live in Las Colinas area now, which is obviously a lot different, but I would like to still be able to say, go for a bike ride after I get home without having to drive someplace to do so.

Thanks for the help!

I live in the neighborhood just north of your potential home, Wellington Run at Marsh and Running Duke.

Great area. My neighborhood is very safe. We have been riding our bikes again since it's been above fifty outside. We ride almost everyday and feel completely safe in our area.

I moved to Carrollton from Valley Ranch to be closer to work in Addison. I like it just fine. It's very close to most shopping--grocery stores within a mile and three malls within 15 minutes, including Galleria, Valley View, and Willow Bend.

ETA: The country square area is very nice, too, and has its own elementary school and golf course.
