I love going to Ft. Worth for a Saturday away. Breakfast at Old South, go to the museums, the IMAX or the zoo, Japanese Garden, Angelo's BBQ, or Joe T Garcia's. Take in a concert a Bass Hall, go to the stockyards if it is the right time of year. It's just like Dallas, but totally different. :-)

^LOL, but so true.

Fort Worth is a good place for a Joe T's pit stop on the way to Possum Kingdom.

The downtown area is clean and there is plenty of free parking, which is definitely lacking in downtown Dallas.

I pretty much agree with this. I grew up in FW/Tarrant County and couldn't WAIT to get out after I graduated college. Fast forward 10 years and I am ready to get out of Dallas. I don't regret the time I have spent living in Dallas but now that life has changed and I am older, I prefer the more casual vibe that FW has to offer.

Yawn. Cute I hear, but too far! Maybe by train - someday. Except for work I've never been west of 35E. Kinda like when I lived on South Beach. Once you're there, where ya gonna go?

Fort Worth has many more cultural attractions which are accessible to families (e.g. the museums, the zoo, etc.). They are all better maintained and located in areas which are pleasant to visit. Dallas attractions are certainly not as accessible and some (e.g. Fair Park areas) are in areas which are not the most pleasant to visit.

Fort Worth definitely has a more western atmosphere, which, I think, is a good thing. Dallas has more of the city feel the identity of which is not that different than any other cities across the country.

easily inconveniencecd? FW is less than an hour away from Dallas. Far in your vocabulary seems to be trapped within limited confines.

Miami has Coconut Grove, Key Biscayne, Fort Lauderdale, and many other attractions away from South Beach. Try getting out more.
