Here are some of my observations. Feel free to "chime in" if you want to.
-Heavy traffic, especially along the interstates.
-Drivers tend to disregard the speed limit.
-Tons and tons of strip malls.
-No nightlife in the suburbs. It seems like all of the nightlife is
concentrated in Dallas proper.
-Lots of diversity in the area.
-Not much outdoor recreational opportunity unless you go to one of the
lakes in the area.
-Everybody is in a big hurry.
-The singles scene is not good.

Traffc? Compared to what?

Disregard of the speed limit- who drives exaclty the speed limit? Although I have noticed more people drive under here than other places.
What kind of nightlife? There are plenty of great bars and restaurants in the burbs. I don't know about dance clubs if that's what you're referring to because that's not my thing.

I've not noticed the big hurry thing. I actually find Dallas to be a slightly slower pace than I'm used to. Not a bad thing.

In the words of the dude, "that's like your opinion, man."

I don't really see the point to this thread but I also don't know your background in order to see what you're comparing Dallas to. You state your opinons more as facts. I find some of them to be untrue based on my experiences.

I drove the speed limit when we had 12 inches of snow that one day....

Anyway, heeha...where did you stay? It doesn't sound much like my Dallas if you had to deal with interstates, strip malls and no nightlife - please tell where this is so I can avoid it!!!!

This is exactly my pet peeve. Too many times I am trying to drive 0-5mph over the limit and there is always someone who holds up traffic by driving 0-5mph under the speed limit...in the center or left lane of freeway or highway.
