Anyone have any new news on the White Rock/Arboretum area being turned into a lake walk Uptown type of an area??????

This could quite possible be one of the coolest neighborhoods ever, if they get to work on it fast and design everything properly (meaning the right functional way so people can walk around everywhere) complete with sidewalks everywhere (including Lakeland Drive) and have lots of outdoor patio places, bars, restaurants, shopping, etc.

It just got approved so now they will be looking for interested developers to redo and make over some of the mentioned areas.

Of course not. Look for change to take place over many years. Right now, it's just a vision.

Judging by how much the residents in that area have fought development, I'd be surprised if any of this came to fruition. I like all of the ideas, though.
