I am moving to Dallas, TX in a little over a month from Milwaukee, WI. I am a 25 male professional looking for an area that has a feel like Lincoln Park, Chicago, IL for anyone who has visited Chicago.

Basically I am looking where the "action" is and where people around my age live by. A relatively safe area with restaurants / cafes, bars, clubs, but at the same time an area with parks and places I can go for walks. From what I have read Uptown and Eastown are my best choices, but all opinions and recommendations are very much welcomed. Thank you!

Where will you be working? Those areas are cool, but if your job is in Plano or Fort Worth, they are a horrible commute.

Yep. Uptown will be a breeze for you. Quick commute that probably won'r even involve getting on a freeway!

Look around Henderson Ave between Central (I-75) and Ross Ave.
It's easy to get to Love Field from this area by cutting through Highland Park (along Euclid and Beverly).

Henderson is the place -- see this article which mentions some new apartment complexes there on Belmont and Bennett (also a lot of other places to rent there including duplexes, four plexes):
