Hi All -

I am having difficulty in deciding to buy a house in Valley Ranch (Coppell ISD) or in Allen.

In Valley Ranch the house prices are too high and I was thinking, is it worth investing so much in a community with no amenities.

In Allen we are looking in the Quail Run Community.

Which one would be a good investment in short term say 6 years?

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

If you are looking to sell the house in 6 years or less................ come closer into Dallas.

Do NOT buy in a new development or one that is going to still being built in for several more years if you plan on selling during that time. Unless you plan on asking a lot less than you paid for it.

Valley Ranch tends to hold its values better than the northern suburbs, but you mentioned amenities. If that's what you want, Allen or Frisco will hold value better than north of VR like Lewisville or north or Allen like McKinney.

Why are you comparing two very completely different areas? Not just in amenities, but in location. What is your commute, if you have one?
