I was reading through the DDN tonight and saw this:
Car drives into former nightclub in Huber Heights | www.daytondailynews.com
which got me thinking... is there anyplace in the area that is like the former Heat Nightclub? I know the place had its problems, but still, it had a lot of amazing acts.
Two examples - Future and 2Chainz!
They are two of the biggest hip hop artists right now (and were when they played Heat too!) I wish I would have made it over there to see them when they played, I am a huge hip hop fan.
Anyways, to not go too far off topic, where's the best places for music around here? Is there anywhere that hosts good hip hop acts?

I don't know of any hip hop venues.
No idea what's going on with Canal Street Tavern these days, but, they used to have great music.
McGuffy's on Berkhardt has some big acts from time to time.
Gilly's has jazz.
Trolley Stop has good live music.
