Ugh, that sucks. It was a great way to find all Dayton’s entertainment options in one medium. Newspapers are already an endangered species...she just made sure to hammer the final nail.

Damn. I would pick up a copy anytime I was somewhere that had it, it was a great resource to find out what was going on in the area.

Such a sad story. With so little going for it these days, Dayton can't afford to lose anything that is good.

This woman deserves a public tar and feathering. Wonder if she was stealing to support a drug habit?

I think it certainly served a niche regarding our entertainment and food scene.

i used to deliver the Dayton Journal Herald. I got up at 4 am and enjoyed putting the individual publication 0n the doorstep rain or snow.
$10 per week ( 1974 ) was like $70-80 would be today. I felt like I was important.

I served an important role by filling a need every day.

It's not bad for a 9th grader.

Kids these days don’t even know.

No more quality newspaper comics for Dayton, no Sat morning cartoons to watch in anticipation for the Sunday comics..... What’s the world coming to?

I dont see a point to a newspaper anyway honestly. (28 male dayton) never read it, never will. Waste of paper.
