We're cold here 25 feels like 15. Whole day sleet and freezing rain-suppose to change over to snow-7 inches-I don't think so.
Got the computerized phone call late this afternoon-DH is off tomorrow-this is a first in 30 years !

I read in the paper how extremely nasty your weather has been!! I guess much of the country is really cold. Not so much here, but our "winter" is pretty much over.

Glad everyone is staying warm!!

The problem with the computer had to do with the Flash Player. All is well now. I wanted to get one of those new iPads, but they look like the keyboard would be hard to work with. Has anyone else tried one? They are actually a little too expensive....but they really do all sorts of cool stuff.

I hope you have a good heater in your RV!

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!

Did anyone else order/get that "new" LA Rubber band hair tie? I don't know about you, but I really doubt this will ever be a big ticket item or a fad. I can't believe they went through all the expense of sending out samples. My daughter and I are still laughing about that thing.

We got more sleet/ice than snow-could have been a lot worse. I HATE this weather-tonight will be 0 with wind chills 10 below. At least in NY we got a lot of snow but not long periods of sub freezing temps. My kids in Va had 65 yesterday!
I know you were warmer Glory-don't rub it in
I think it's time to move back to Va!-I wish-Maybe in the next 5-10 years

DKVA, we are getting the tail end of the storm you guys got earlier....so the skies have been all gray and moody looking for a couple of days. No real rain though...nor is it cold. Just muggy and sad looking. I always think about all the thousands of people who spent their savings for a great family vacation to the theme parks and then they get our crappiest weather.

Good Day to Everyone!!!!

We were supposed to fly out of DFW headed to Las Vegas in two days.
I just canceled our trip because we were scheduled to return on Thursday and the forecast says this winter storm is going to repeat itself on Wednesday.

Right now flights cannot get out of DFW. So we canceled. Thank goodness we bought the insurance. It only cost us $49.00 each. We'll get the charge for the trip refunded to us. Amazing.

Frankly, I have to admit that the main thing I am relieved about is the fact that I won't have to clean the house for the cat-sitter. I'm not kidding. I simply do not feel like cleaning the house for someone who is a perfect housekeeper.

I got 8 books from amazon yesterday and 3 movies. I have lots of food, litter and Dr. Peppers. Good thing, too, because there is no way I could get the car out of the garage on the ice. It's bad. It's 19° and my pool is trying to freeze over. I just threw a log in it to keep the ice from cracking the pool if it ever warms up.

So, everything is fine. It helps that I am a pseudo hermit. heeheehee
