I'm definitely a bargain hunter and will always try to see if there's a special or deal going on for something I need (or didn't know I needed until I saw it on special)
Thought it woud be a great idea if we have a local thread where you could post a deal you thought others would like to see or could benefit from.
Here's a deal this week I thought others may like. It's for BIG LOTS and is for 20% OFF YOUR TOTAL PURCHASE AT BIG LOTS valid 01/22/2011-01/30/2011
If you are posting a deal, please put dates, restrictions, locations good at, etc., unless it's already posted on a coupon (as above has) but at least dates. If it's a printable coupon, please post the link. If it's a coupon in a local newspaper, magazine or coupon booklet please post which one and where you can pick up a copy to get your own. If it's an unadvertised special sale at a single location, please post the location, what the deal is and for how long. Basically, post as much as you can so it can be helpful to others.
I've seen some amazing deals locally and I'm sure there's others around I may find useful, as I'm sure others in the area would.
Anyone planning on going to TGIF by Jan. 27th 2011, here's a printable coupon for 20% OFF YOUR TABLES FOOD PURCHASE AT TGIF. See coupon for dates, locations and restrictions. Expires 01/27/2011
Here is something that I found posted on Stevi B's Pizza Greenville facebook page:
"FREE PIZZA BUFFET FOR ALL PEOPLE WHO "LIKE" THIS PAGE, FRIDAY JANUARY 28TH FROM 11AM TO 8PM!!!
Please visit us on this day, and you'll receive one free buffet. Tell all your friends to like us before this day, and they'll also receive a free buffet. Stevi B's is an all-you-can-eat pizza, pasta, salad buffet!! 864-254-9498"
Only problem is that those who don't do Facebook can't do the deal. I know I miss out on a lot for not doing FB, but I really have NO interest whatsoever in doing FB and people from my past popping out of the woodwork trying to "friend" me.

Anyone else think this is a good idea?
This isn't really local for you, but if you come up to the Charlotte area, stop into Ollies Bargain Outlet in Gastonia. Ollie’s Bargain Outlet | "Good Stuff Cheap!" You can check out their flyer by clicking locations, select all, & then click on Gastonia. At that point, you can click to see the current flyer. There's a couple of threads for them from when they were coming into the Charlotte area last year, on the Charlotte board.
If I find myself going over that way I'll stop. Never heard of the place, but they sure do have a lot of locations. The closet one I think would be Gastonia.
This isn't that specific, but I like to use Southern Savers - it is regional, but lets me know of a lot of local deals, sales, coupons and coupon codes. What I really like is that it has a printable grocery list from the major local grocery stores each week with what is on sale. It also matches up the deals with printable coupons and lets you know where to find other coupons for the weekly sale items. Great site that has helped me a lot!
There is a coupon code this week on the site that is good for a free Blockbuster rental.
Someone mentioned Ollie's. I'd love to see them invade the Upstate and force Big Lots to upgrade their quality.
I shared this in the "bakeries & fabrics" thread, but it is definitely worth mentioning here:

For fabric, the #1 place you need to visit is All About Fabrics (http://home.comcast.net/~shellhog site/ - broken link) in Williamston. It is only open one weekend each month, but is well worth the wait, in my opinion. Prices, quantities, and varieties are fantastic and they occasionally offer additional coupon discounts in various local publications.
