Notice how it is the business owners, not politicians, who understand the grief that tax day can cause, and try to do a little something to soothe the sting.

Did you know the top tax rate in 1913 was seven percent? Now it's almost forty percent. And you don't have to be uber rich to fork over that much.
The tax code is well over 73,000 pages long. No wonder no one understands it!

An annual thing in the Washington, DC area. Don't think this will be beneficial to many but...
Tax Day 2015 freebies - WTOP

Here are a few listed:

All area Whole Foods Market locations will be serving free 12 oz. cups of brewed coffee for Tax Day.

On April 15, Boston Market is offering buy one get one free individual meals, whole sandwiches, whole sandwich combos, salad bowls or market bowls. You can claim up to 3 BOGOs per person per visit.

Get free chips and queso with any purchase on Tax Day at any California Tortilla. Just say “Taxes Shmaxes” to the cashier.
