I've decided to reread all the books by Leon Uris (my favorite author since I was 13). I work in some of these freebies between his books.

The thing about the freebies is that there is something for everyone on the lists. Over the years I have found some real gems and new authors I like. This is excellent marketing by Amazon. Some turn out to be the first in a series.

I'm so grateful that my parents were readers and shared that love of books with me and my sister.

I'm grateful to have parents who always read, as well, Ketabcha. I was the kid who had a flashlight under the covers. I'm sure I stayed up far too late for my age but I just couldn't stop reading.

Yes, the freebies are great and as you say, there's something for everyone. It's a great marketing ploy for both Amazon and the author.

If they ever stop providing these, we'll go into withdrawal, even though I'm sure we have more books than we'll ever have time to read at this point.
