I was about to order 2 blouses and a skort from a catalogue. They were reasonably priced. When I went to check out, the shipping and handling was $20. I balked. No way was I paying an extra $20.
Low and behold, two days later, I got an email offering me free shipping from that company.
If there is no charge for returns, especially if I can return locally (Target and others) I will order more items than I want to make the minimum order for free shipping, then return the extra items.

I already posted this somewhere else, but it seems appropriate here too.. be careful when ordering from Walmart. Twice now, I have ordered products, assuming I could return them to the store, but since they were actually from outside vendors, the store will not take them.

Be careful with ALL the major retailers online (Walmart, Best Buy, etc), because they have "marketplace" sellers on their sites. These are 3rd party companies that sell through their portal and not the retailer itself.
Some of the marketplace sellers are questionable. Though TBF, most of the time Walmart or BestBuy will listen to legitimate complaints about the seller if something happens.

If you have to go to the store anyway to return items, why not just get the items there in the first place? To me the whole purpose of online shopping is so I don't have to go into the store.

There's a filter box you can check to only see items from Walmart as the seller, in the future.
