Does anyone here have kids in the league, and how do you like it?

I know a number of families with kids in the MOT football program. Very, very competitive and it is the foundation of a very successful Middletown HS football program. It is my understanding the league they play in will change this year, and eliminate the need for travel. But I don't have all the details.

Some years ago MOT had a falling out (accused of cheating) with the members of a Delaware Youth Football League and for the past few years have played in Baltimore area league, which required lots of traveling.

As an aside, anyone know of a youth flag football league in New Castle County? My son loves football, but plays for fun and doesn't want to play tackle football. The closest flag football league I've been able to find is in West Chester, Pa. We did the drive in the spring, and are willing to do it for him in the fall but would prefer not to.

My kids played flag football two years ago through the Brandywine YMCA. Also I think the Brandywine Warriors have a flag football league as well.

There is a adult flag league in Middletown. They play Saturday mornings on the Middletown fields directly across Silver Lake Road from the Acme. I'm not sure who organizes it or if they offer young adult program, but it is big enough they could. Maybe call the high school and see who uses the fields on Saturday mornings. Good luck.
