Hello everyone and Happy 4th of July!

As I mentioned in another thread, my family will be moving to Dover this summer.

For now, we would like to rent a 3 bedroom / 2 bathroom house in a nice and safe neighborhood not too far from Delaware State University, preferably with up to $1200 per month in rent. From what we've seen on-line so far, this may be doable, but the problem is that there seem to be very few options available. We've looked at several websites (Zillow, Rentals, Craigslist, etc.) and there is literally a handful of houses listed for rent. Are there really so few rental properties available in Dover?

We're planning on visiting Dover next or the following weekend, but before we do that, we'd like to work out an itinerary and make some phone-calls, of course.

Can anyone recommend and good resources (on-line or otherwise), in addition to the ones I listed above, we could use to locate some other options? By the way, I've already looked at Dover Post that somebody suggested on here, but without success.

Thank you very much in advance and, once again, Happy Holidays!

Actually, I was looking for the same thing. We are thinking of moving sometime next year. Slim pickings out there. If you found any resources, I would definitely love to know! Thanks!

Try doverpost.com, look at the bottom of the page for the classified link. That takes you to a place where you can find some rentals.

Here's a link: For Rent

We were very disappointed with what we could find on-line. We ended up working with an agent that somebody recommended to us. Definitely the way to go! He was very knowledgeable and helpful and was able to get us into 5 different houses on a very short notice on a Saturday. We ended up signing a lease for one of those places.

PM me if you would like the agent's office contact information.
