My husband and I are retired and considering a move to the Lewes/Rehoboth area of DE. I have rheumatoid arthritis and am concerned about leaving the area where we live and have two quality medical centers within a half-hour of our home. Anyone have any information to share? How are winters for someone with RA?

Beebe Medical Center is a modern hospital in Lewes. It is the only hospital in eastern Sussex County. The other on (Nanticoke Hosp) is in Seaford on the other side of the state. With all the retirees moving here many Doctors have come to the area with all kinds of specialties.
Our weather has generally been mild. This year is the exception.

Mary K - you did not say where you are coming from, but I suggest you find out now if your health insurance can carry over into DE. There was a discussion of this several months ago over on the 55+ thread, I believe, and the overall opinion of many posters was to make sure your current insurance is available in DE and if not, what alternatives do you have. Please find this info out now - some posters had difficulty getting similar coverage or drive many hours back to their home state for treatment. Not the ideal situation in my opinion.
