Hi, My husband will going to work at University of Delaware. We have a 7 years old boy. He will go to 2nd grade next year. We are now thinking to find him a good elementary school around Newark. I saw someone post here few years ago said Christina school district was not good. Can anyone give me some suggestion about which district and schools around Newark are better? Thanks [FONT=&quot]

I technically live in Newark and my kids are part of Appo School district, which is amazing. I am very happy with it.

If you would like your son to attend an elementary school where the parents are mostly univ. related - meaning good education is their first goal and he will be learning along with diverse students of those parents then Downes is a very good school in Christina school district.

There is also a very good Charter school in Christina School District which my grandson attends..it may be too late to get him in for the second grade but he can try the following year.
