Hey everyone,

I am about to relocate to the Newark, DE area with my fiance. I was wondering if someone could help me with a couple things.

1.) Gas is pretty expensive where I come from. Can someone give me an estimate of how much it would cost per month to heat a regular sized 1-bedroom apartment in Newark in winter?

2.) It seems as if a lot of the reviews online for apartments in that area aren't very reliable. Does anyone have suggestions for good apartments?

Thanks!

I live in Pine Valley Apts, which is in Elkton (about 10 min from Newark). We have a 1 br, and it ran us about $120 a month keeping it on 72 while we were home and 68 while out at work. However, we use the company Elkton Gas (i'm not sure what Newark uses??), but I don't think it would be too much different.

Sorry I can't help with apartments in the Newark area - what is your price range for rent? Maybe someone else will be able to turn you in the right direction!

Wait a second, thats not right!!! That was for our electric bill. Our GAS bill was about $60 in Jan/Feb. OOPS! Geeze, you probably thought I was crazy paying that for heat in an apartment!
