I have some living room furniture that needs re-upholstering. (Is that even how it should be spelled??) Does anyone have any recommendations? These pieces are not antiques. I would really appreciate some names and numbers so I can start calling around and looking for fabric. Thanks!

I have used Barry Barlow in the past and he did excellent work. At one time he was in Newport, but I think he has moved. He came out to the house, gave me a quote, came back for pick up, and delivered the pieces when finished. He is not inexpensive but I was very pleased. While he was not always easy to contact, he had no problem with me just stopping in to see his progress on my furniture.

I am not really sure. When he did my upholstery, I do not think I saw Barlow Upholstery. When you call, just ask if they were previously in Newport. I think he was training his son so maybe he has opened a business on his own or possibly they work together but in two different locations.
Barry is not inexpensive, but I am very pleased with the work that he did for me.
