Heading to Camden today from New Jersey. Can anyone let us know how bad the traffic is for Nascar Weekend please ? When we planned this trip, we had no idea it was this weekend. Thank you !

We've been to the track and surrounding restaurants/bars 8 times since Tuesday night. Not a problem. Last night was the most recent - no problem.

If you're coming down on Rt. 1, Exit 97 at the Salisbury-Norfolk ramp, which takes you way south of Dover Downs. That's the Puncheon Run Connector. That empties you on to Rt. 13 at Hertrich Car Sales, then head south for a mile to Camden - it's a short cut. You know the rest, I guess.

Thank you ! We did go on Route 13 and we must have had good timing coming and going because we didn't run into any traffic at all. Coming home we drove past the casino and track and again we got lucky !

It's not like it used to be 4-5 years ago when 130 to 140 thousand fans used to attend the race. Recently the race has been getting 80 to 85 thousand fans, sometimes less. Hopefully the economy and Nascar fans gets back on track or Dover might only have one race a year.

Use the app "Waze" as a navigational tool. It will get you around any traffic nightmares.

I had no idea there used to be that many people attending the races. Wow. Hopefully it will bounce back. Thanks for the "Waze" info. I never heard of it.
