Ok so I can tell you which ones it is not. Not on 1 and not Connellys either. I was driving and saw this place and was intrigued so we stopped. It is also not Sea Quells or Christines in Ocean View.

It is a large barn type structure with a gravel/dirt parking lot. It may be grayish in color. There are wooden steps to get in. As I recall two very large rooms with all kinds of stuff on shelves. About half way down the right hand side room is where you pay and there is a glass display case behind which was the person who took the money. Just behind that are more displays with books and things behind glass doors. The left side of this room was one long shelf and the right side were tables that were filled with glassware and kitchen stuff, little lamps etc.

I am thinking it was in Milford, Millsboro, Dover maybe even Seaford but those are just guesses. The only other thing I can recall is that this place was on the left side of the road and there is a major intersection not too far away from there. I realize the left side depends upon the direction but we were driving away from Rehoboth.

There is also another one that was a bowling alley years ago and you can still see the guide arrows on the floor, can't recall where that is either.

I am sure this is an exercise in futility but it was really large and they had a little bit of everything. If you have any clue can you tell me where it is, road and town so I can find it again.

Thanks.

No that is way too fancy and upscale. This is much more rustic. Oh and thanks for the German info, but they don't sell them either. Still hunting.

You're welcome, Nuts.

How about Country Expressions - Milford? There's no photo, that I could find, but if you Google Earth with this address......... 1100 N Dupont Blvd, Milford, DE it will show the place. We have so many of those type places. My favorite is in the Town of Wyoming.....Simply Charming.....located in an old mill on Wyoming Pond.

That isn't it either, but, next time I am in that neck of the woods I am going to stop in there, looks like a cute little shop. Again you are the best.

Thank you! We'll nail the "mystery" shop, soon! This has opened up a whole new discussion on these types of shops, up and down the State.

Spoke to the Milton Historical Society today and it didn't ring any bells there either. Everyone is intrigued by the bowling alley.
DH and I stumbled upon it, there were vendors on the second floor with all kinds of things, glassware, kitchen tools, dolls, books.

The first floor was where the floor was formerly a bowling alley. We asked the ladies and they said it had been a bowling alley many, many years ago. It was not a typical bowling alley, maybe 2 -3 lanes at best. I will keep hunting.
